A new Basis fitness tracker has been developed using Carbon Steel. The use of Carbon Steel allows refinements to the previous device making the new product more ‘rugged and waterproof’.
The Basis B1 is a fitness tracker that records steps, distance traveled, and calories burned, as well as heart rate, sweat levels, skin temperature, and REM sleep cycles. It wirelessly syncs its data to Android and iOS devices over Bluetooth 2.1, allowing for tracking of your health over time. The “Carbon Steel Edition” features some subtle internal refinements to the device that Basis says make it more rugged and waterproof, and also comes with a more flexible strap with silver accents.
